Message The engine on my Z when I got it was pretty beat up, there was alot of oil everywhere, I thought it was mostly from the bad turbos but now when I am putting it back together it seems the previous owner did a PCV delete?

The places where the PCV valves connect to the plenum on either side have been blocked off and the PCV valve hose points on the left exhaust valve cover have been blocked off.

The only hoses from the valve covers are the ones at the front of the intake valve covers that go directly to the intake pipes.

It all seems weird, I am going to do the Woody PCV reroute but I am interested as to what the implications of the old setup are and why somebody would do it.

I can't make heads or tail of it.
